What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is a small titanium post that serves as a substitute for a natural tooth root. The implant is inserted surgically into the jawbone and provides a stable base upon which an artificial tooth is anchored.

Do dental implants work?

Implants are among the most predictable and long-lasting methods for replacing missing teeth. Unlike natural teeth, implants cannot get decay and they do not have nerves. What type of anesthesia is used?

In the majority of one or two implants cases, the procedure is performed under local anesthesia. More extensive implant surgeries may require sedation.

Am I a candidate for implants?
